Go to the vz-58 forum. :) Have a Phantom forum too.
The SA vz-58 has only one thing interchangeable with the AK - the ammo. :) Superior rifle, I believe.
The CZ SP-01 Phantom is my sidearm of czoice nowadays, most accurate and reliable full size auto I've ever used. That's why they go with the 712 so well. :)

Just for an update on the CZ 712. I shot my fourth 3 gun match with it today. Took a buddy and his son to the match. Lot of shotgun today, 50 rounds of birdshot. My buddies Remmington choked on the first stage so I let him shoot the CZ, along with his son. All three of us shooting it, that thing got hot! No problems, but it likes heavy reloads. I've went through two 500 count bags of claybuster white wads now, with load developement, practice and matches.
I put a red magazine follower in my 712. The stocker worked fine, just wanted the red one to better see when empty.
The NC extension springs sticks out about two feet past the mag tube with the cap off. Has anyone shortened theirs? What is the total spring lenght you have?

Deputygene,

That is one nice looking range! Looks like a fun competition. Hmm, CZ712 ... but it's called three gun for a reason, so that means I'd have to buy the third one too! Well maybe just IDPA for me until I save up $$$.

Anyone know if that extention on the 712 has legality issues in Kalifornia?

Thanks for sharing the videos.

It's under ten rounds, I'd think the would be legal in Cali, or are shotgun limits even tighter than rifles?

Armoredman, I am liking the Glock 22. spent some time adjusting the rear sight to get it dead on so I can hit at distance. One match we shot poppers at 40 yards. That was ugly! I have a Lone Wolf barrel ordered, to shoot lead reloads. I am using hard cast lead bullets, but I make sure to scrub the bore every 200 rounds or so. It does get some leading.
I have stock night sights that will be replaced by something a little more visible. The only other change I made was to go with the 3.5lb disconector and reduced power spring kit, gives it around a 4 lb pull.
It is a nice range, but it has some limitations. We have no side berms, so we were only able to shoot one squad at a time. That will limit us to a max of about 20 shooters. We had 15 at this match. We used mostly steel to keep re-set time down. Two pistol/shotgun stages, two stages all three guns.
That was the only video of me, but here is another shooter shooting my favorite stage. Weaving through barrels. The CZ rocked on this one, wish I had gotten it on video.

czkali, my third gun id a DPMS free floated carbine upper with a Plum Crazy Poly lower. An inexpensive set up. I have a Bushnell 1x4 hunting scope on it. No problems at all with it yet. Some of the guys are shooting AR's built for 3 gun. Compensators = LOUD!! I was timing one guy, had to stop and go put ear plugs on under my electronic muffs!

Have an IPSC (pistol only) match this weekend and will shoot production. I shot limited 10 with my Kimber, but qualify for production (I think, I am actually new to all this). The 3 gun match classification I shoot is Tac Optics.
Right now I am mostly still trying to get loads that function and shoot accurately in my guns. The power floor in Tac Optics and minor production is kinda low, I think I could drop powder in my pistol load one more notch. That load shoots good, but is smokey. For shotgun, I will stick to the 3dram eq load I have of 1 1/8oz of shot, with 18gr of red dot. Might try green dot, but this load has been good so far. Functions and knocks down everything I have shot with it. Does kick some though. For rifle I load a 55gr fmj over a starting load of 2460. Anything over 100yds, I use factory 55gr fmj. So far my match prep has paid off with zero malfunctions (except the first 3 gun, where i hadn't checked the sights on the Glock and those 40 yd pepper poppers). Every match I see shooters struggling with equipment failures. I am lucky to be able to test fire my guns at home.
