P-07 thickness?
« on: August 02, 2012, 01:32:17 AM »
Hi all! Excited to be here. I had a question regarding the thickness of the P-07. I'm considering purchasing a P-07, but unfortunately there are no shops near me that has one that I can hold. I've seen some comparison pictures, but I can't really get a good indication of the thickness of the gun. It seems to be slightly thinner than a Glock 19 in pictures, but according to the specs on CZ's website the P-07 is actually thicker by nearly a quarter of an inch. I have really small hands; I wear men's extra small gloves. I would use the gun exclusively in SA. Does anyone foresee a problem with this due to the thickness of the gun? Anyone got any photos holding it?

The p-07 will likely fit your hand just fine but if you want to hold something that feels like it was custom made for you check out the CZ75 PCR. If you pick one up you won't want to put it down!

Welcome to the forum. Any gun shows in your area? I'm sure you could find a P-07 at a gun show.   8)

Don't order online. It's easier to warantee through a shop... And you will warranty it...

If you buy the gun new, it doesn't matter where you bought it from...CZ will warranty it if you do indeed have an issue. Gun shops don't warranty guns...that falls on the manufacturer.

My P07 9mm has 800 rounds through it now and it has never burped once. Zero malfunctions = happy P07 owner.

Advice>>> buy a 9mm, not a 40.

Perhaps, but not for certain.  Sorry you had a bad experience, but don't go around spreading blanket statements. The 9mm is less prone to issues. Mine has had 400 rounds through it without issue, not a lot. I have a rifle course next weekend that will use 200-300 rounds of pistol. I will try to remember to report back on how it does during the course.

Oh and to answer the ops question I believe the grip is thinner and the slide is thicker.

I have both the G19 and P-07. The CZ is much better in my hands. I believe the grip is slimmer. The CZ is a thicker gun overall than the Glock. I like how the CZ feels and shoots more than the Glock
