Nice surprise with new 85C
« on: April 23, 2012, 07:17:43 PM »
I was pleasantly surprised when I got my new 85C  that I've been wanting to get for so long. The trigger is so much nicer than my P01, it just seems like CZ spent much more time manufacturing this gun than the P01. When I pulled it apart for the first time I noticed it didn't have all the machining marks the P01 has and is a much nicer looking gun in every way possible. I suppose the P01 is a duty gun so the attention to detail isn't as important possibly? It is quite noticeable to me the 85C is a much better machined firearm than the P01. Now don't get me wrong I still love my P01 but I was just floored at the difference in the 2 and the lack of machining marks in the rails on the 85 vs the P01. The 85 has none where the P01 looks like someone just didn't care what it looked like as long as it worked, which it does a great job of. I've had the P01 for a few years now and can count on 1 hand the failures out of thousands of rounds. So far I'm loving my new 85 Combat I just hope it shoots as good as it looks tomorrow.

Congrats on your purchase, she's a beauty.

Nice! Can't wait to hear the range report. I just ordered the identical gun an hour ago! Got lucky and found one online. Will be sending it to CZ Custom once I go over it to have trigger and hammer work and a few other things done.
Don't forget to update the range report and what ammo you used.
