Thank you, I read the article. I am a new handgun shooter, and probably do not fit the normal mold around this forum....
I think you'd be surprised. CZ pistols (and really nothing else) bring us together here. I don't think you can easily lump us into any one group. I don't see a "normal mold" here at all. I see people from all walks of life, professions, political persuasions, and religious backgrounds.
....so you can dislike me for it, or realize that not everyone is the same as you just because they shoot guns.
I don't see any dislike here on any one's part. Balanced people can disagree with your ideas and ideals without dis-liking the person; can separate the actions from the actor. Disagreement does not equate to hate.
I do not blindly support the NRA
Neither do I. Only about 10% of gun owners are members of the NRA, and still it is one of the most powerful lobbying groups in Washington.
I am in IT and live in the populated east Coast.
I too am in technology and live on the east coast. Awarded most outstanding technology student in Georgia the year I graduated. This doesn't make me better than anyone, including you. I'm afraid I don't get your point.
I am a Democrat. ....you may have to keep your mind open and flexible.
I'm an independent. I've voted for diverse people such as Andrew Young, Zell Miller and Ronald Reagan. IMHO the first step to an independent mind is to not lock your vote into a single political party, but rather vote for the person who best supports the country and Constitution. It's a two party system, and neither candidate pleases me 100%.
So to clarify, are you a Harry Truman dem, John F Kennedy dem, or a John Kerry dem.
All the best.
