BTW... Great article !!

If it wasn't for the fingernail polish, it would be hard to tell where the hands stopped and the gun started.

Also, think all repubs, demos and whatnots should own a gun to keep the government at bay. I will not vote for anyone that might destroy this country finacially, which by the way is in the makings and the only way to take our country down. We cannot survive if we all go broke because of a social justice ploy, are any regime that is overwhelming the system with total disregard for the consequences for any reason.

President Reagan did just that to the USSR--destroyed them financially.

Thank you, I read the article. I am a new handgun shooter, and probably do not fit the normal mold around this forum....
I think you'd be surprised. CZ pistols (and really nothing else) bring us together here. I don't think you can easily lump us into any one group. I don't see a "normal mold" here at all. I see people from all walks of life, professions, political persuasions, and religious backgrounds.

....so you can dislike me for it, or realize that not everyone is the same as you just because they shoot guns.
I don't see any dislike here on any one's part. Balanced people can disagree with your ideas and ideals without dis-liking the person; can separate the actions from the actor. Disagreement does not equate to hate.

I do not blindly support the NRA
Neither do I. Only about 10% of gun owners are members of the NRA, and still it is one of the most powerful lobbying groups in Washington.

I am in IT and live in the populated east Coast.
I too am in technology and live on the east coast. Awarded most outstanding technology student in Georgia the year I graduated. This doesn't make me better than anyone, including you. I'm afraid I don't get your point.

I am a Democrat.   ....you may have to keep your mind open and flexible.
I'm an independent. I've voted for diverse people such as Andrew Young, Zell Miller and Ronald Reagan. IMHO the first step to an independent mind is to not lock your vote into a single political party, but rather vote for the person who best supports the country and Constitution. It's a two party system, and neither candidate pleases me 100%.

So to clarify, are you a Harry Truman dem, John F Kennedy dem, or a John Kerry dem.

All the best.  ;)

It is not relevant to this forum what members politics are, or who they vote (or voted) for. We are a community of shooting enthusiasts, not a political debating society.
