Stock trigger v 85 Combat trigger
« on: March 17, 2013, 05:00:03 AM »
Compared to the trigger on my 83s and 82, I find the trigger on my 75 Compact uncomfortable ? too narrow, too curved, and after a while it makes my trigger finger feel bruised.

Cajun Gun Works offers the 85 Combat trigger as a $49 upgrade:

"A fully contoured trigger for the utmost in comfort.  Trigger is much thinner than the standard CZ trigger improving the reach in DA. SA over-travel set screw and adjustment wrench is included.  The perfect replacement for the CZ "recurve" trigger.  A much more ergonomic trigger."

CZ Custom offers two versions of the 85 Combat trigger, and advertize the old version as a $50 upgrade (same trigger as that offered by CGW?):

"CZ 85 Original Trigger with Over travel Screw (CZ Custom)

"The original longer curved trigger fitted in the older CZ 85 Combat.  Comes with hex screw for over travel adjustment.  A lot of people say this trigger stops the trigger pinch associated with the newer 85 trigger.

"Redesigned to set the trigger as far back as possible.

""This is the one I prefer and use in my CZ's" - Angus"

Has anyone tried the 85 Combat trigger?  Is it a worthwhile upgrade?

I have it on my 85 Combat :P, a '92 CZ-75, two Canik C-100s, and a Canik Stingray C.
I cannot abide a serrated trigger, but it is on the 75 for the over travel stop.
So I guess they are OK.  ;D
David's trigger pins are in all but the 85, as it's trigger hasn't been removed yet.
