Angus, what can you tell me about this gun

Hi, I'm hoping you can give me a bit of insight on this gun.  I bought it last week exactly as pictured.  It seems to have the Adam Tyc edition grips, slide release, safety and hammer but does not have the engraving or limited edition number.   I know that this is not the limited edition, but I am curious why this SP01 Shadow has some of the Tyc elements.  It also came in the Tyc case.  Is this a limited run or just a random specimen?  Any info would be greatly appreciated!

The Adam Tyc gun had gold engraving on the slide and frame if I am not mistaken.
Also I think number ..... Of ...... On the slide and frame.

exactly.   thats why the curiosity around this one.  A dealer who had this one on sale on gunbroker.com said this version only had 52 pieces imported to the US.   The one he was selling went for over $1500.   He said that CZ told him it was more rare than the TYC model with the Limited edition stampings.

I think someone added the gold parts themselves :-)

I did some more digging, and CZ themselves (helps that I have cousins who work for CZ in Czech republic)  confirmed that this specific gun is 1 of about 50 that was brought into the USA recently from the shelves in  Czech due to demand in US market.  Apparently it was a one time deal and these guns normally are sold in other markets by CZ.   this gun came from CZ this way.   Another one of this type sold for $1500.00 on gunbroker recently....I paid about 700 less so looks like this may be a good investment!

I know mine is not a real Tyc, but looks like some hybrid.   Comes with the TYC case.   I sense that I got a great deal on it at $800.

If you would read the previous posts it has already been established that this particular Shadow IS NOT an Adam Tyc limited edition. It is another similar model that has the same colors as the Adam Tyc but is not an Adam Tyc and it was not even supposed to be imported to the USA like the Adam Tyc limited edition was. It was supposed to only be sold in Europe but CZUB decided to send 50 of them to the USA anyway.
