527 bottom metal modification help!!!

Hi guys, I searched and didn't find it.  I'm thinking about doing the bottom metal modification and I would appreciate some help with some questions I have,

What are the differences between the M1 mag catch and the standard mag catch?  CZ lists them s different model numbers.  Is the m1 just a bit shorter?

When you remove the diagonal metal from the bottom do you need to weld a brace on the inner side?  The M1 bottom metal has some metal that reinforces this area by looking at the pics on CZ's website.

are you trying to convert a 5 shot to the 3 shot ? the mag locking clips are the same on both mags , when I had the m1 I used the 5 shots most of the time they fitted perfectly (the reason being that the 3 shot mags gave me a lot of bother with feeding and loading issues).  obviously the 3 shot mag wont fit the 5 shot housing because of the webbing on the trigger guard. do you intend cutting this webbing or changing the mag housing triggerguard bottom metal, its a swap I never tried and im not sure it will fit without some smithing. the flush fitting mags look well but as I mentioned earlier my m1 gave me that much trouble I got rid of it.
