Reshaping a CZ compact beaver tail.
« on: May 13, 2013, 10:32:09 PM »
Hey Angus, after spend many hours dry firing my CZ Compact the web of my hand is rubbed raw by the sharp lower edges of beaver tail. I want to take a file to round the edges up but don't know how to touch up the polycoat afterwards. Do you have any suggestions?

Great question.  I was thinking the same thing.  I want to round the trigger guard and then smooth all the sharp edges.  I was thinking of abrasive blasting then ;) duracoating or ceracoating the whole frame.  Blasting the alloy has me nervous.

We can do black polycoat in the shop. Otherwise a good coating from a reputable shop would work fine.

Thanks Stuart. I planning on sending it out to be cerakoted eventually.
