Any gun left dirty long enough will chug to a halt. I've got four Grand Power guns in the safe at the moment and used to have a fifth.
The very early Mk5's were built like match guns, with very tight tolerances. If I used dirty ammo, I needed to clean it every 400 rounds.
My STI GP6 (Mk6 frame) was as accurate but easily went 800 rounds before I felt the need to clean it.
I have two brand new X-Calibers and have put 1500-2000 rounds through the primary gun. New out of the box, #1 ran 400 rounds that first day without a hiccup. I have used it in two matches since April 12 and did clean it between matches, but then I always do prior to a match.
With the Mk7 frame's interchangeable grips, it's easy to get the gun to fit your hand perfectly.
The single action trigger is light and crisp, at about 3-3.5 lbs, and the DA trigger is between 8 and 9 lbs.
Brian Ahern commented that it has a polymer frame, and that's not exactly true.
It does have a polymer grip. The grip however is not structural. It only holds the magazine in position and anchors the trigger/trigger bow.
The gun is actually built like a STI 2011, with all the lockwork and stress points contained within a CNC machined steel frame.
