dragonfly,
I had both a Gen 4 and Gen 3 and I can honestly say that I just like the Gen 3 more. I have large hands (XL in most gloves) so the larger grip works for me. Honestly, I just shoot Glocks very well, not sure why. That being said, I hated how the initial draw stroke would often place the front sight high for me (1911s, CZs, and my Stingray-C seem to present perfectly) so I think the angle was a bit odd for me. What I did was use a gripforce adapter on my G19. Really helped a lot.

Most people I have spoken to say they really like the Gen 4's ergos. It is smaller without a backstrap and has more options, including a factory beavertail attachment. Word of advice, make sure the back of the Gen4 has the notch for the beavertail to attach to or it will be loose. The newest production models have it and you should make sure your Gen4 does to maximize the beavertail affect.

I picked up the stingray today and bought a blackhawk pancake holster for it for now. Carried it around at home for the day, and it was very comfortable. I am playing with carrying it concealed and I think it will do just fine. Very impressed with the quality, and can't wait to bring it to the range. Looking at IWB holsters and some new grips to personalize it a bit. My local FFL guy is still looking for a P-01/06 or CZ compact, but I'm pretty happy with the Canik so far.

Range report to come in a day or two.

Thanks for all the opinions, I look forward to being part of the community!

Genin: my regular EDC is a USP compact, but it's out for service. I think the stingray is a nice gun to put in my carry rotation. I have a glock 19, but I registered to my wife and she carries that. Great gun, but the grip does not agree with me. I do have to try the Gen 4 though, they might be the perfect size grip for me now.

Did you order yours online or LGS?
I'm trying to get one myself but usual OGS are out of stock.

I picked it up at a local store. It was actually lightly used, so I got a good deal on it. They have plenty at JGsales.com, at least in black.

Shipping kills the deal on jgsales.
