trigger Assembly Instructions?
« on: November 29, 2013, 05:44:43 PM »
I was wondering if there was a video or post showing how to do a disassembly of the trigger assembly.  I've searched but I cannot believe there's nothing out there.

That's not a bad dis-assembly video. If you have a BD I would recommend a slave pin for the Decocker assembly.

The video above is great.  I wish I had seen this before.  I finally figured out, after much suffering, how to take everything apart and, more importantly, put it back together again.  I also finally installed Cajun Gun Work's Reduced Reach Kit.  Schmeky talked me through a couple of missteps.  I can't tell you how many hours I spent trying to install this kit.  A video like the one above or some instructions with pictures would have gone a long, long way.  Nonetheless, it's installed and everything seems to be working correctly.  I put some Loctite on the two adjustment screws and now I just have to test it all at the range.  The reduction on the trigger isn't a lot, but it's significant given it's a trigger and so I think worth it.  If it doesn't interfere with the reliability of the gun, I'll be one happy camper.   Thanks, guys, for responding.

If anyone cares, I went to the range and shot my 97b, with reach reduction kit, without a hiccup.  My overall impression is that the kit is worth it...even for the small reduction in reach it provides.  The installation is a bear if you're not already very familiar with the level of takedown you'll need to do, but I'm glad I went through it all now -- I know my gun that much better.

Now you need to get back in there and put in a CGW disconnector to reduce the pre travel.  :)  Disassembly and reassembly get much easier the more you do them.  it actually will become easy and intuitive.
