In firing the 97 B yesterday, the recoil is not any difficulty/problem at all, rather more comfortable than some other .45 semi-autos I've used. I presently have the Bedair full length guide rod installed (as it was during yesterday's shooting outing), work fine. With regards to the DPM guide rod system, it's mainly to give it a try and see how it works. As firearm users we change: grips; guide rods; sights; add lights or lasers; tune up actions; etc. It's just something most all of us do at one time or another. Will the DPM system be the end all thing? Not likely. I do want to check their system out though and get a first hand concept of it. Some of those who have replied have used the DPM system, and some have not - yet all submitted their opinions and thoughts, which is much appreciated. We who are dedicated shooters: tinker from time to time, I'm soon to be tinkering with the DPM system, and shall give an opinion once get it all checked out. I'll be getting one or more than one more 97 B or BD, so will have things n' parts to tinker with that one as well! thanks
