I got a loose leaf binder and started a gun book.  In one section I list the guns as I buy them with a column for if/when I sell them.  In this is the where, when and how much.  One section just has serial numbers.  In one section each gun has it's individual page with upgrades and how much was spent, where the parts came from, who did the mods, etc.  You can have a section where you keep track of other gear such as holsters, mags, belts, range bag, etc.  Again, how much you paid, where you bought, etc.  I wish I would have started this from the get-go.  I have some information that goes back a ways and other tabs that I just started.  You could also do an ammo log per gun in this arrangement.  Making comments on what you have learned, what tips you've picked up could also be helpful.

Artist, I got into it when I "retired"...found myself watching 4 straight hours of anime onlin,e had to go back to work.
Ghost in the Shell was OK. Some of the gratuitous nudity in some of the shows throws me off - Sekirei is one, with a really interesting story, but the "r" rated cartoon nudity just throws it off. Chrom Shelled Regios is a clever story with great animation, Blade of the Phantom Master is an interesting anime movie. Still really like Gunslinger Girl - wish they'd make a third season.

Do you have any idea how dangerous the log book idea is?  Keeping track of all the gun items you buy and what you spent???
what if the wife finds it?   ;)

...........and nobody ever looked back and thought they did too much fishing.

I'm pretty sure fishing is a synonym for boring as in "if you do it to relax it isn't something you do to get reved up" ;-)

When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"?

Why use 911 when it's faster to use 1911 or 9mm?

Finding my ways to keep the wife interested. As I keep buying more that is. Part of why the stainless will technically be hers when we get it. That's why I looked into the pink F/O rod option. She doesn't want an all pinked out gun like some coated poly guns I've seen. Saw a pink zebra print Glock once, the entire gun was that way, only the magazine escaped coating. The good thing is she's excited about the idea of me hunting so I'll be able to drop some good change on a rifle when I get to that point.

I guess we're after different fish.  The OP was after something he could do without spending money he didn't have, and fishing can be cheap (and provide good eatin').  Unless you're one of those boutique fly-fishing 'river runs through it' wannabes.  Or buy a boat :'(

True story: A friend of ours must have had enough; she literally shot her boat.

Back to being bored at work. Granted it's been a crazy month so I should welcome this slow day. Well I teach at night for my union, I did everything I needed to, to get ready, did my 8 hours worth of work, now just stuck twiddling my thumbs.

Only thing CZ new for me is the P09 is officially on it's way to Schmeky for his Pro-Series job. Still waiting on grips, looks like the Hakan grips will beat Omega and Marschal. By the time I get them back I should be the official owner of a High Polish Stainless Steel CZ75b and a used Remington 870. I'll get some pictures going of my little CZ family once everything is in. Probably gonna check out some Gunslinger Girl or Gunsmith Cats if I can find some. Not sure how to look stuff up but have the laptop with me so can get around the work firewalls.

Gonna look into some hunting classes before I try to find some anime to keep me occupied for the next hour.
