Who knows honestly. I like his railed handguards. I own a set. IIRC, he had some health issues several months back and he's basically a one man show.

But honestly, he's quite horrible when it comes to communication. He hasn't logged on here since Dec. 06 of last year. He has an industry forum/area on AR15.com. But he's never there either. Though he last logged in there on 1/29/14. If he is still in business. He's probably a month or more behind on emails. That was the deal months back.

Did you try calling "after business hours". I remember a while back, that was what he recommended to get a hold of him.

I do hope he's OK though.

I paced an order online for a top hand guard Sunday. Then I called yesterday after reading here. Chris said it would be a long wait. I'm going to go with the NEA guard now. They seem to be in stock.

Greetings All,

My experience with Bonesteel was quite satisfactory.  Unfortunately, it was for an Order Cancelation, but I received a response in less than 24 hours.  :)  I will entertain the idea of doing business with Bonesteel in the future and hopefully I can be more patient, (the item I wanted was back-ordered with no E.T.A.)

Where did you see that they were in stock?

Hi All, I ordered a muzzle break and T-shirt from Bone on 1 Jan, it arrived three weeks later. No email, no texts, just arrived. Such is life.

Should have added -- I ordered a Ronin Grip and a flash hider from Bonesteel the beginning of Dec and they shipped the same day.

I also emailed him on these boards and to his yahoo and have gotten no response in regards to his tabbing service.  Unfortunately, communications don't appear to be his strong suit...

When I bought my first VZ in December (or was it Nov?) I was reading about the Bonesteel handguards, but also about complaints in regards to communication and whether the handguards were in-stock.

On his website, they were backordered.   No one had any luck reaching him via email or phone.  I personally, didn't try... because if others were having issues, why would I be any different?   :D

Knowing I wasn't gonna shell out the $$$ for the only other handguard set that offered any kind of co-witness, I went ahead and placed an order for a set from Bonesteel, knowing that I'd probably be waiting a long time.     (Also ordered the Slovakian style brake)

I received them both in a little over a week.  Website status showing they were backordered never changed.

Commo might not be a strong-suit... not sure of the issues... could be health, 'day-job', family, or just being overwhelmed with getting product out.  But, given I wasn't in a hurry and hadn't read anything bad about him never following-through with an order... I was willing to just go ahead and click "Buy" and wait.
Turns out I didn't have to wait long.  And I'm extremely happy with the products received!
