Jeweling
« on: March 05, 2014, 06:52:53 PM »
I am going to send out a couple of barrels to be jeweled.  On the Rami, do you know what the slide release, hammer, safety and trigger are made of?  If I get those parts jeweled they must be polish able before they are jeweled.  Some black parts don't polish up.

The parts are steel.  I bought my Rami used and the previous owner had polished all parts mentioned.  I have mixed feeling for the look and don't like the feel of the slide release now.  I barely can release the slide now since the ridges on it got polished smooth.

Would you be willing to post a picture of it?

I can't find a picture of it for some reason.  I lost a hard drive and may have lost the pictures i had of it.  I do have a video of it that kind of shows the parts.

It's posted in the gunsmithing section here:

I will have another video of the reassembly once I finish editing the video.  I will be posting it in that thread and will try to remember to show the gun with the polished parts (less the hammer, I'm installing a comp hammer).

Cheers,
Toby

Tdogg, don't worry about it.  The link does not appear either.  Must be an ipad thing.
