perma blue

bought some today to blue over the pakerized finish. didn't work. im sure ill need to sand it all down before hand which I didn't. I thought it would blue over the pakerized finish. oh well may just try shake and spray dura coat later on.

As I understand it, an epoxy paint like Duracoat would work well in this case.  I have no direct experience with the process, but I have had a number of people whose judgment I trust say that a preliminary step in a successful refinishing job using Duracoat is to first Parkerize the metal.

I really do not directly know what I am talking about, but that never stopped me before from having something to post.  Good luck!

Thanks for posting this.  Was just about to launch a refinishing project for my CZ 82 using perma blue.  You just saved me from a big bucket of frustration. Thank you!
