Barrel wiggle
« on: April 09, 2014, 09:38:46 AM »
I noticed that the barrel on my SP-01 has a little wiggle while it is in battery. That is, with the slide forward I can move the tip of the barrel 0.5mm or so to the right with my finger. I tried out a P07 at the range yesterday, and noticed that its barrel had no wiggle at all.

My groups with the SP-01 are almost always tight but just a little lower-right from point-of-aim. I've always assumed it was a trigger/form problem (and may well be, as this is my first gun), but the P07 groups were scattered around the POA more equitably.

Is this wiggle okay, or does it impact accuracy?

Does my barrel need to be refit, or what?

Thanks in advance!

Since the groupings are as tight, would say the fit is in CZs level of acceptability.
Remember , CZ pistols are service grade guns and are not fit as tight as a high end target pistol.
Always possible to customize for more accurracy.

I have a couple of CZ Tactical Sports, one in 9mm, the other in 40 S&W.  Both have a small amount of wiggle at the muzzle too unlike my Sig pistols which have zero wiggle.  However, the accuracy of the CZ is super amazing.

I wouldn't worry if I were you.
