P07s and P09s in .40 s&w
« on: March 23, 2014, 05:50:17 PM »
Does anyone have any experience with these guns in .40?  I need a .40 due to the endless 9mm shortage.  Glocks hurt my shooting hand thumb as do M&Ps, FNs.  I don't like the bore axis of XDs and Sigs.  My 2 primary concerns would be reliability and accuracy.  I have 3 CZs in 9mm and love them.  I hope they are as good in .40.

I have one in .40 and it is my daily carry and all time favorite. I have had Beretta, Ruger and SIGs as well as S&W and and only the 1911 comes close to the love I have for my CZ p-07. It is very accurate and the trigger is a dream right out of the box. The only improvement, which I had done by CZ-USA custom shop was the instillation of steel night sights. Buy one, you will not regret it.

Have sold some 40 Dw P09s and haven't one word back. Usually means they haven't shot them or nothing wrong at all.

My 3+ year old P-07 in 40 S&W has been flawless.

Got a new P-09 in 40 end of Feb. Put about 870 flawless rounds through it and it's on it's way to CGW for David's magic.  Extremely accurate out of the box when I do my part; very controllable muzzle snap for a 40mm.  Trigger pull about 9.6 DA and 4.5 SA and very smooth but a little heavy for me.  Would highly recommend. 90% were 165 gr. reloads and some defensive ammo as well.  Hard to beat in my opinion!

Didn't know you could get a 40mm version of the P-07.  :o

Heard that some .40 S&W rounds will trip the slide release causing the slide to lock back unintentionally. I think CZ finally fixed it by trimming the notch on the release lever.
