Well, I received my 2 new polymer mags in fde and took them to the range yesterday. The good; they load, feed and eject great. They look nice, seem durable and the window is helpful.
The bad; only 1 thing and I feel an important one - they do not lock the bolt back after the last shot. I tried both mags in 4 different rifles. I also used some regular mil. mags, to make sure there were not any problems with my rifles. I loaded them with 10, 20 and multiple 30 rounds with the same problem. I contacted Yoav at zahal to discuss the problem. Will advise when I get some answers. Hopefully it's just an early production problem.
Still waiting on 2.
Everything plastic, or are locking lugs steel?
So does the magazine have a correct follower for BHO? Does the magazine body have the channel for the BHO tab running along the back?
Did you try dropping the rifle from shoulder height, on to the buttstock with mag loaded and inserted (no round in chamber, on safe)
How about loaded a mag in gun and slamming mag down into solid surface (wood table) to check the locking lips durability?
Did you run over one with a vehicle?
