Marko,

Glad to see you're moving up in the world!  Congrats!

See my post on my new Kadet Kit on the Kadet Club forum.  Haven't tried it on my PCR yet, but that's next.  I'm now looking for a CZ-75 pre-B and will probably get an 85 Combat to go along with the other CZ's I have.  This is getting addicting!  Less expensive than P7's too.

If you are going to the HBG show, let me know.

Geeze...  You guys are making me blush. ;)

Kev must have had a weak moment when he appointed me.  But thanks for the votes of confidence.

Take care.  Marko

Pilot:

I would love to hit the Harrisburg show.  But my wife recently had child number three and I'm needed on the homefront for a little while.

Besides, in the past three weeks I've picked up a Yugoslav Zasta-produced CZ-99 in .40s&w, an East German Makarov, an unissued Chinese military Mak, an unissued Russian military Mak, and an unissued RK-59.  On Tuesday I'm getting yet another new-in-box PCR --- so I need to let the wallet cool off a bit!

Let me know how the show goes.

Take care bud.  Marko

(P.S.: One of our friends from the Mak board also got an unissued RK-59, along with a $200 new-in-box military Vanad with correct unissued holster.  Wow.)

Marko.  More congrats are in order!  Number three!  WOW, that's great!  Sounds like you've scored some real treasures.  What is a EK-59 and where did your friend get the Vanad?  You know I've always wanted one of these to go with my Maks.

Thanks Pilot.  Mom and baby are doing great.

As for the RK-59, it was a 9x18M chambered Hungarian military issued sidearm, closely patterned after the Walther PPK (looks like a baby PA-63, but better quality).  It's the smallest pistol imported since the Gun Control Act of 1968.  Century imports brought in about 3,000 of them.  Of all the ones I've seen, only three are unissued and not import stamped.  Interestingly, in comparing notes with the Mak board member who just bought the other one that I mentioned above (and who has owned the third non-import stamped one for some time now), the serial numbers of all three of these RK-59s fall within a sixty digit range of each other.  And not only that, their four-digit serial numbers all have the same first number and same last number.  Only the middle two numbers differ.  Kind of wierd, eh?

As for the Vanad, he bought it at the September Pittsburgh Show that I was unable to attend.  Definitely a rare find at a great price.

Take care bud.  Marko
