New PCR Range Report, First impressions!
« on: September 25, 2002, 06:56:49 PM »
I thought I would give you PCR People a quick update on my new PCR that I picked up last week. I'll say this much... BOOM! My new junior 75 has a little recoil to it compared to my full size 75's. But nothing major. I fed it the usual 115 grain Winchester white box and some of the cheap Blazer stuff. No feeding problems, just BOOM, BOOM, BOOM....

What I did notice was that it seems to sight a little low. (Is this because of the low profile sights?) But once I figured out where to put the front dot, I had some nice tight groups for my miserable shooting skills. The pistol shoots very similar to my Sig P228 but I actually like the feel and the handling of the PCR a little better. I'm very happy with my new addition. The PCR Compact is a great gun! i plan to break it in some more this weekend.

Can anyone give me some suggestions to get the sights (vertical) on center? Should I scarp them and move up to a good set of Nites?

Congradulations on your PCR...."BOOM" ya hhooooooo!
They are a very nice shooter.  As far as accuracy is concerned, sounds like you nailed it.  Youve figured how to acquire the sights "point of aim" and thats all that matters.
As far as nights are concerned..they take the same sights as the 75..as far as fit in the dovetails.  But the slide is milled to clear the rear sight just under the front of it...I couldnt find any sights that were the same configuration so....
I had PT nights drill my rear sight and install tritium elements..the front is made to match the rears height.
Sight acquisition is the same as stock...just green.

Enjoy your gun and the forum....great post.
Shoot well
