possible P07 frame issue?
« on: July 20, 2014, 05:42:20 PM »
Ive noticed a gap getting bigger on my frame (both sides) where the polymer meets steel.  im curious if this would be considered frame bulge and if its something I need to contact CZ over to get fixed?  I love the gun and it always functions flawlessly but its my preferred carry gun so I want it to be right.   Its a 2012 model P07 with around 1600 or so rounds through it. Thanks in advance.

I'd send them that picture and see what they say.

I wasn't born in America, but I got here as fast as I could.

I've had my 09 model for a few years and it got to that point on both sides and stopped. Haven't had any issues with it. They say its only cosmetic. But its your gun, do what u feels best

I've had the "bulge" in my P-07, and never had any issues with it, purely cosmetic, but I would certainly encourage you to call 1-800-955-4486 and ask the gunsmith.

I called cz usa today and sent pictures to the guy in warranty department and he acknowledged the fact that it is in fact frame bulge. He also said I already have the new style slide stop so there wasn't anything they could do. He also said the 14 model uses different polymer that won't ever bulge. I can understand that its only cosmetic but its kind of discouraging that they cant and wont do anything about it. I even offered to pay to swap the frame out for a new one but they said I was pretty much SOL.   O well.  Still a great gun, just hope the gap doesn't get any bigger as its already noticeable with the slide on.
