I have seen countless pics of the 97b and handled it twice at guns shows... but I just realized it doesn't have a rail.

Odd... and odd that it isn't an included feature IMO.

CZC offers a add on rail for the 97, I don't have any direct experience with it but the pictures look ok.

Oh! That is actually a neat approach, assuming it is solid once attached...

Stuart is right, it is.  We have done several and installed properly, they are solid.
