CZ 75 Pre B Project
« on: November 12, 2014, 07:48:44 PM »
I have two custom CZs from CZC, acquired fairly recently after shooting a friends Accu Shadow.  I like to do a lot of my own gunsmith work but hated to start work on a new platform with high end guns.  I was able to locate a cheap police trade in CZ 75 Pre B, badly worn but surprisingly good trigger, a good shooter.
?   detail stripped
?   smoothed trigger action
?   replaced original hammer spring with 15lb spring
?   DA 7lb 15oz (original 9lb 5oz)
?   SA 4lb 5oz (original 4lb 10oz)
?   Cerakoted Sniper Gray and Coyote Tan by JB Tactical, 720-459-2686, info@jbtacticalllc.com
?   New Hogue Carbon Fiber grip
I now have more in the gun than I can sell it for but the process was priceless.

Looks really good, JB Tactical did a good job on the finish.
I am sure you learned a lot on the project.

Nicely done. Your Pre B looks great. The absence of the top strap on the slide looks clean. Thank you for sharing the pics.

Thanks for your comments.  I have learned a lot and really enjoyed the project.  JB Tactical did do a great job, Ryan was very good to work with, answered emails and calls promptly.  As to how it shoots, I have not shot it since doing the trigger work.  The target linked below was the first 30 shots after I received the raw gun.  Targets are 8 inch, upper right is 7 yards, middle left 15 yds, and lower right 25 yards, all shots two hand, no rest.  I thought this was pretty good for a 25 year old police trade in.  I would expect some improvement with smoothed trigger and sights that you can actually see.  Original sights were bare metal with light refracting badly.   Like all CZs the gun handles and  points great.
