went to the range today to test out my new compact.
To reduce aiming error as much as possible, I took the FirePoint redot sight off my Glock35 and put it onto the compact. ( ironically, the FirePoint is an official CZ brand with the CZ logo on it....). I then installed a little rubber pumper behind the trigger as a make-shift over-travel-stop. Works great ( I have the same thing on my HK P7).
Tested 10 commercial loads, all FMJ target/practice type, bench rested, at 25yd. From sitting position, magazine rested on the table and the frame rested on a sand bag, very steady. 5-shot Groups were in 2.5~4" range. Not bad as a "combat" pistol, but definitely not target pistol accuracy.
I had high hope on the accuracy part because it is a CZ with "full length slide/frame rail", but it turns out to be about the same as the Glock 19's I have seen.
So the cz factory test target does seem to show how accurate the gun is. If I ever get around to buy another CZ I will be sure to check the factory target and compare at least a few of them before buying
