Fitting a CZ455 stock to a CZ542 Magnum rifle
« on: August 19, 2014, 10:46:32 AM »
I recently acquired a CZ452 in 17HMR. Wonderful rifle. I stuck a Leupold VX1 4-9x40mm on it and I'm bleep happy with it - it will do wonders on rabbits and foxes here in Australia.

But I want a new stock for it and I really like the SS Evolution stock sold by Boyds that is commonly sold on the CZ455 and is available for the CZ455 on the Boyds website. Unfortunately they don't inlet it for the CZ452 and though I suspect if I pay loads of money they would do a custom job for me I wanted to know how different the mounting is between the CZ452 Magnum and CZ455 so I could save the money and do it myself - not to mention Boyds won't for some reason ship stocks over $100 internationally  >:(

I've looked online and the differences appear to be minor but I can't be sure so I was hoping someone who owns both a CZ452 Magnum and a CZ455 could compare the two and tell me the difference preferably with photos. If it only requires me to widen a few holes or something I think I'll go ahead and order one.

Thanks in advance.
