my new pcr is having problems
« on: August 24, 2014, 04:18:22 PM »
I went to range today with wife. We both got a new pcr recently. I have had mine about a month now with no problems until today. When shooting the hammer seemed like it went to half cock. The hammer would not go all the way down. Befor I noticed what was happening I thought I narrowed it down to one of the mags. I am very new to the mechanics of guns so I have no clue what to look for. What do you cz peeps think about this.  Atleast the wifes worked perfect.

I just want to clarify - when you pull the trigger and fire a single shot, the slide comes back and pushes the hammer back, it's going to the half-cocked position instead of the fully-cocked position? Does this happen when you just rack the slide? What if you dry-fire, hold the trigger down, and then rack the slide?

I would call CZ, I am sure they will send you a shipping label.

Sorry for the confusion. When I was in the middle of shooting it would not fire all of a sudden . When I found out it was not the mag I started looking and found that the hammer fell just short of the firing pin . Happened several time I called cz the next day and they sent me a shipping label. Its on its way on a road trip. Without me. I miss it already. I only had for a month or so and has done great til sunday. So in four to six weeks I will hopefully be reunited. Thanks for replying . Hopefully I didn't confuse that time
