Changing the travel distance of the decocker in a PCR
« on: September 06, 2014, 08:57:43 AM »
Does anyone know how to change the distance the decocker has to travel to activate on a PCR? I ask this because I changed out the factory hammer for a CGW hammer and found that my decocker now requires slightly more travel before it activates. This wouldn't be a problem normally, but I use aftermarket wooden grips and my decocker will now hit it and not activate every time I try to use it. I can easily file the grips down if I need to, but if possible I'd like to keep them unmolested.

Thanks.

I know that this does not answer the question, but if all else fails, would it be possible to file a little of the underside of the decocker to avoid contacting the grip?  Just a thought.

If any filing or trimming needs to be done, my vote is to do it to the grips.

You're probably right.
