2 Part Question on the P-01
« on: September 16, 2014, 01:20:41 AM »
I got mine and its waiting in "jail"  10 day wait.

Meanwhile I am buying my trick out kit to make this even more bad-ass.

1. Question Holsters, preferably kydex, my grip will be the crimson trace cz75 compact running with the m3 illuminator if one is available if not just the pistol and the ct.

2. what is the most basic upgrade i can do to make the trigger pull better. is it just changing the hammer spring to 13lbs. If i do that do i need to change firing pin spring and pin block lifter spring?

please direct me to write links if needed thanks again

I would recommend the CGW Ultra Lite/SD kit. But break in your P-01 first before you decide on any mods.

If I were to make only 1 change, it would be to add the CGW Race Hammer.

How handy are you with complete disassembly? What is your budget?
I would start off with smoothing & polishing the trigger parts. Can be done for almost free.
On the CGW Springs & Pins page I would buy the first 4 items.
SPGK1 - 3 piece spring kit
RP-TRS Reduced Power Trigger return spring
TR-PIN Trigger pin
& if you intend to dismantle the P-01 this is priceless, S-PIN

Should be about $52 shipped for the above parts
I also purchased the Perfection Firing Pin with the above parts on my first round trigger enhancement. Another $25
Sorry, had to remove the list of firearms due to server overload. I hope you now have a more pleasant experience on this forum.

"Hey, do you want to try my Glock?"
No thank you. Want to try my CZ P-01?

For the most basic upgrade parts, I agree with vwpieces. It all depends on what you want to do. IE: range, HD, carry.

Mainly for HD, and some range time with friends nothing fancy, I saw one video on YT, and he just replaced the hammer spring to a 13lb one. will it apply to P-01? his was a 75b. I also purchased a DPM recoil system will I need it? or do i return? Sorry for the newb questions. Basically i am used to smooth triggers pulls in all my guns and tend to spend money on them. I tinker with them depending on the difficulty if its too much then i have a friend who is a gunsmith. to clean my mess up  ;D.

First my opinions come from full size 75 experiences,  not the P01.
I agree with Most above,  especially to shoot the heck out of it first.

I can't speak for "YOUR" preferences ,  but I believe the $$ for the recoil system would be better spent elsewhere,  like hammer and springs AFTER you break it in and get acquainted with the pistol's feel OOB.    The 13# hammer spring should fire all the standard US-made primers if accompanied with a little DIY polishing---others maybe not.  The 15# spring will reliably fire most all with no other work.
