Kudos to Board members RSR and Forced March for helping me out with a couple of upgrades and some great info on my newly acquired VZ2008! Thanks again!

Just curious what upgrades did you do? I am trying to decide what to do with mine first.

Muzzle brake, a dust cover/rail, new pistol grip, and a polymer lower forearm. I am staying away fron a metal lower rail for fear of turning my rifle into a grill.  I am waiting on aluminum upper rail from Bonesteel. I probably should go ahead and send my bolt to Morgan to get it tabbed but I am dying to see how it shoots first.

Good luck trying to get a rail from Bonesteel. Ordered a top rail about a month ago. Tried a couple of times to get a status via email and phone call. No response. My last email and phone call was to cancel the order. Decided to get an NEA from theammosource.com. Had my rail in less than a week.

Thanks. I have owned SKS's over the years and always liked to keep mine like they left the factory. I'm not trying to judge anybody who likes to accessorize. In fact, I think it's cool that everybody can have their on style. However, when I got this rifle I knew I wanted to make some changes , even though the the way it came was beautiful, thin and sexy.

Sure.  Once I get it back together I'll post pics.  My bolt carrier is off getting tabbed right now.
