You got me. When I typed it my head went sideways for a moment knowing something was wrong with the sentence, but I couldn't see it. I was looking for a missing comma or poor subject-verb agreement. Having been raised in the South, I got more ways to screw up a sentence than RMR has bullets.

Everyone knows that a 'mute' is something you stick in the mouth of a trumpet or a mother-in-law. 


I gotta stop sipping homebrew while I write.

I saw some Fed. Fusion pulls elsewhere with a 20% off holiday sale ( https://www.americanreloading.com/en/ ) , and they also have WC844, and other misc interesting stuff, but decided RMR is within a few $, and had a few projectiles I'd like to try, so picked up:
1K 62gr .224 Federal Fusion pulled bullets
250 62gr soft point Trophy Bonded Bear
500 55gr HPBT Match pulled (any clue whose these are??)
500 'RMR' 55gr FMJBT

I don't need any more 'plinking' bullets that are less accurate then Hornady bulk FMJBT or SPs, but will see how they all compare, and I'm very curious to confirm they (RMR 55gr) are in fact not a match for the Xtreme, Roze Dist unknown bullets, etc. that I have on hand.

I received my 124's yesterday. They are definitely not the same as the xtreme. They measure .008" shorter and the diameter is .356 whereas the xtreme measures .355. I'm going to load some today and test them over the chrono. Weight was between 123.8gr and 124.3gr in the handful that I weighed this morning.

I got my order from them as well (very fast, am usually waiting ~2 weeks w/Xtreme), but it's all .224 bullets - some Fusion 62r pulls, some Trophy Bear Claw pulls, some 55gr HPBT Match (no idea whose these are), and I decided to give 'their' .223 55gr FMJBT a try before writing off anything besides Hornady's for bulk 55grs.

I have had less than stellar accuracy across Xtreme 55gr FMJBT, random unknown 55gr I got from Roze distributing, and a handful of others, although Winchester 55gr FMJ was fairly consistent and perhaps 1/2 MOA off vs the Hornady FMJ or SPs..will see.

Got the order of Rocky Mtn bullets this weekend. The RMR 124gr RN measures .356 dia x .580 long. Weight runs between 124.2 to 124.8 grains.

The nose does look slightly stubbier than the Berry, however the length is the same as the Berry 124gr RN at 0.580". The RMR finish is slightly less polished than their Berry counterparts. I received 4 different calibers in my shipment and RMR bullets seem to have a trademark ring on their base which is not crisp in appearance. The dimpling on this ring is a lot more pronounced on their 40 cal bullets.

My son has borrowed my CZ so I can't take a reading on the barrel. All-in-all it looks good. Can't wait to load some of these up.

Finally got my SP-01 back from my son tonight and took the opportunity to do a "push test" with these RMR plated bullets. The length turned out to be 1.158 to 1.164". Long time followers of this forum will know I was completely devastated at being forced to use 1.140" as the Max OAL.   

I've loaded up 50 test rounds for testing.  We'll see.

BTW... the loan of the gun to my son for an outing of friends resulted in another sale of an SP-01. Same ammo, the groups from the SP-01 were half the size of the one from the owner's Springfield 1911 !!  He went right home and ordered it !
