If it does I'll buy one to install ASAP.  I have read that the CZ-75 SA thumb safety does fit the SP-01 but I'm not sure if it is a drop in part, it is very similar to the Tactical Sport safety.

I know..  I love the SP01, but I am still a 1911 guy that likes the thumb safety to be right there.  I was looking at the chematics of both and it looks the same (not very detailed though).  Hopefully Matt will respond.  I think Angus is still in the Peoples Republic..

TS safety will not fit, its too wide.

The SA safeties will though.  You will need:

SA Safety set
right side detent and spring
'3' sear cage for 85 Combat, 75B SA 9mm, etc...

Parts are kinda expensive, but I have several sets on hand.  I've done several conversions lately, it really does make the gun feel better in the hand.

Thanks for the info Matt...
can the same conversion be done to the 75B/85B..or would it be less expensive to convert a 75SA into a DA/SA gun..

What will that do to the Trigger job that Angus has done on the gun, if anything?

What I did - I put some skateboard tape on the safety- cut the piece, bent it and applied on the top and bottom of safety.
That increased the area of skin contact and friction. Works good.
Stay safe,

Omega,
Great suggestion.  Now that I think about it, the extra grip may be enough.

Thanks..

Mike

Stuart, can't do that to any gun with a single side safety without doing extensive modifications to the frame on the right side.  They do not have the provisions for the detent and the hole in the frame is not big enough.

DA/SA conversion on an SA gun would be about the same price as a SA conversion.

Cutting and grinding would work, but would not be USPSA Production compliant for us competition shooters.  But the SA safety conversion would be since CZ has shipped guns with those safeties.
