The SP01 is a very nice piece. I had Matt Mink do the work on mine and its a beauty and shoots even better. I had never owned a CZ before and had heard mixed opinions about them, but I was suprised at how tight they are. My SP01 is pretty tight. It doesnt have all the polished parts inside and there are a few tool marks inside, but it doesnt effect the way the gun shoots, so I dont mind.

Yeah, I've got about 1000+ rounds thru my SP-01 and its proven to be utterly reliable.  The only time it jams is when my noob friends shoot it and limpwrist and anticipate recoil and all that good stuff.  I am still amazed at how much more accurate I can shoot with it than I could with the S&W SW40VE that the SP-01 replaced.  The trigger cams a little on mine, but I will be sending it to Jim Miossi before too long here.  I can find no tool marks at all on it.

People can buy their $3000 super custom low capacity 1911's that have to be babied and spoken to softly and gently caressed.  I will go shoot my piece of combloc art and laugh at them.

Ive run 5000rds thru my SP01, Ive had 10 ammo-related-jams from wet ammo. Nothing I would blame my gun for.

I guess I'm pretty new, only about 500 rds., but I've shot CCI Blazers, Al and brass, Winchester white box 115's, 124's (seems like the gun's fave so far) and 147 JHP's, and I've had two misfeeds. One was when I failed to rack the slide properly and one when I tried to overload the mag.

Otherwise, a clean firing machine!

Mine has been perfectly reliable except for these two things to avoid:

1) The old 10 round "Assault Weapon Ban" magazines. These jammed my 85 Combat and they caused SP-01 problems too. Total crap. Buy the NEWEST generation of Mec-Gar 16 round mags - the ones with NO dent in the side.

2) OAL I made too long. You have to follow the book on this one guys. I made some out-of spec 147 JHPs that wer LONGER than allowed in the book: 1.170".  Those are OK for 9mm 1911s but they bind in the magazines of the SP-01. I won't use factory ammo, but the factory stuff should all be short enough to work.

Otherwise? Perfection.
