Like the above poster suggested it might have been the FP retaining pin.
I remember reading that I had to be sure that the "flat" of the extended FP had to be pointed up when correctly installed. It always was. But at work today I had an epiphany about the orientation of the retaining pin in correlation to FP. I took the firing retaining pin out and oriented it so the split on the retaining pin faced opposite of the " flat" on the FP.
I also slipped a small "pipe cleaner" soaked with Hoppes down the FP channel which removed a very small dab of a cosmoline like substance.
Maybe the FP was getting snagged by the retaining pin, getting stuck by the gooey substance, or a combination of the two. Hell if I know.
Anyhow, I put a box of 115 gr. Federal ball through with a 13# HS installed and it ran like a champ. Aside from some of the troubles I think this CZ is a keeper!
Thanks to all that helped!
