P09 positive rentention holster
« on: March 08, 2015, 07:40:40 PM »
Hey guys,

So sometime in the near future I have interest in purchasing a threaded barrel P09 in .40 and mount an insight on it. the purpose of this full size duty pistol would be for tactical pistol training and thus I would require a positive retention drop leg that can hold the P09 with a light on it. I can't find any holsters such as Serpa or Safariland ALS... does anyone know of a positive retention drop leg for a P09 with a light?

tall order...at least it seems from my research...

Thanks!
Justin

I looked a while back for a 3 gun holster with retention and the best I could do was a thumb break or rear strap style level ii retention.

I haven't seen one yet Justin.  Matter of a fact so far Blade Tech is the only one I've seen do a police style retention holster but they don't make a light bearing holster for the P09..

I just ordered one of these for my P-09 with the parallel drop down plate. I think this is the best of both worlds. The pistol is out of the way of your plate/vest gear, but secure enough to run, etc.
