85 combat upgrades
« on: March 16, 2015, 09:56:46 PM »
I have done a few more upgrades to my combat now. She is absolutely silky smooth shooting. Changed the hammer spring to 8.5# and using a 11# recoil but added a flgr. I wouldn't have done so but it had bound up twice after you put it back together. I'm mean bound up to where you can't move the slide without hitting it on a table.

Brought it to the range and the over all census is the trigger is too light and not enough creep for everybody else but me. I love it it's super light and still yet clean and predictable. I will measure the actual weight later can't find my scale but would guess around 1. The accuracy is another thing though. Everybody likes how accurate the combat is. That was the first thing they said. We were outside and had a 25, 100, and 200 yard range. I brought it by my brother sighting in his ar on the 100 and actually got closer to center than him with his iron sights after a couple rounds to sight it in. He wasn't expecting to see 9mm holes in his target.

I was hoping to spread the cz addiction elsewhere but a light clean trigger isn't for everybody i guess[emoji1]

Looks good OP. I like my 85 Combat very much. I originally set mine up allot like yours, then changed it back to SA/DA to tinker. Did you drill the slide for the FL guide rod your self?

Thank you for the pic.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

Yes drilled the hole myself. I got a nice little setup for playing around with this stuff.  I got a big cross vise on the drill press so that helps a lot with being precise.
