New to me, SP-01
« on: March 26, 2015, 03:48:44 PM »
So, I picked up my first CZ back in 2012 it was a CZ Custom Shadow Target SAO and I love the way that felt.  Since then I have been wanting an SP-01.  Well, I was checking out Backpage here in AZ and what do I find but a SP-01 for sale in the Same town.  I call and meeting that evening and she was mine.

Born on date 2010, upgrades, Grips, adjustable rear sights, F/O front and complete trigger job and comp hammer from CZ Custom.  He also included a SA trigger set up with the sale.  Kinda an SP-01 that wants to be a shadow.  and the best price, it was mine for 700.00, which I think is a fair deal.

Here she is

Here she is with my Shadow

and the rest of my CZ family

Going to break her down, clean and lube up and out to the range.  Well, after I get back from this weekends BBQ competition.  I really should be trimming chicken right now, but wanted to share my find.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Nothing wrong with building your own "Shadow" from an SP-01.  Some of us (me) are too poor to buy one off the shelf. I have to convert it a little at a time  :P

Gratz on the SP-01 find. May it treat you well.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

Nice, Congrats on finding one.  I am happy with the upgrades on mine.  As my eyes get older, I have difficultly seeing the night sights, so I would have swapped out F/O front and I love the blacked out rears.  The Comp Hammer and trigger work make a super smooth trigger.  I am thinking about driving down to  CZ custom and put in the Short reset, but I will put a few hundred rounds down before I make that call.

I had CZC install their SRTS in my 75 Shadow to replicate my 2014 SP-01 Shadow.  Pre-travel in SA is essentially gone.  Before, there was about 1/4" take-up.

I passed it around to a bunch of fellow CZ shooter the other day at the range and there were wistful smiles all around when they tried the trigger.  Definitely recommend CZC's trigger work.

I had to go this route due to the ridiculous laws in Commifornia. I actually jist finished building a pair of SP01 Shadows. I just need to figure out which sights I will run and call it a day.
