Stock trigger on Rami manual safety version
« on: December 31, 2015, 05:27:42 PM »
I am considering picking up a Rami manual safety version for CCW and have a few questions.

My plan is to keep the trigger stock.  Just prefer not to modify the trigger on a self defense gun.

I understand in DA mode, the trigger pull will be fairly high.  Can someone let me know a typical Rami stock trigger pull.  Hoping it is 10 lbs or less.

My other option is to carry it cocked and locked.   I would consider this mode, but I am not too familiar with the CZ safety.   How likely is it for the hammer to drop if the safety is on and trigger is not pulled?  I assume if even if that happened, the FPB would prevent the gun from going off.

My plan is to carry it IWB in kydex holster, so I need to investigate options.

For IDPA, I use striker fired guns, but for CCW I am interested in the Rami because of the DA or SA with safety modes.

If anyone is willing to share their carrying experience with the Rami, I would appreciate it.  If I went with striker fired, it would be either G26, XD Mod2 or Shield.

Stock trigger pull 10++#DA, 5+ - 6# SA   The CZ's 75 was designed as a military pistol, all CZ's models use the the same basic fire control mechanism, some have minor modifications to the basis design.  CZ were designed to be carried hammer down, this is as safe as it can get with a CZ. You can also carry cocked & locked, but it is not the preferred method.  I carry a CZ P01 or a Rami 365 days a year, always hammer down.  some have reported carrying  cocked & locked and some how the safety has been bumped off during the day, leaving the gun being carried cocked with the safety off not good.  All of my CZ's have had trigger work done on them,  CZ P01 & Rami trigger are about the same 6+# DA and 3+# SA and very smooth.
