Any suggestions on grip tape?
« on: July 13, 2015, 01:55:07 PM »
I'm looking all over to order some replacement grip tape for my thin aluminum grips. I cannot seem to find any that is for sale by its self. The only way I can seem to find it is when it comes included with a set of grips.

Any idea on where I can find any, or is my best bet resorting to skateboard grip tape?

PS I need the three piece set.

Peplow530,

Go to guntape.com and check out the GT-5000 Grip Tape. It rubber based not skaters tape. It comes in 8 1/2" x 2" strips and you can cut the tape to your desired size. They sell it in 3, 6, 12 and 24 strip packets and free shipping.

I prefer the grit size and durability of true skateboard tape.  I went to a local skateboard shop, they had no less than 25 different colors in varying grits.  I think I paid $7 bucks for a piece of black tape that was 8"x36"  the backing material is flexible enough to bend in 90 degree corners which is great for some applications.  I have enough for years to come.

Agreed. I did the same. However, the guy pulled some scraps and just gave them to me. His idea of a scrap was a square foot. Far more than enough. I did this and still have a ton left over.

It all sounded a lot funnier in my head.
