Compact pre-B
« on: May 07, 2015, 10:50:12 AM »
I just recently read (can't remember where) that some of these were made.  I have never heard of one or seen a picture.  Has anyone every run across one of these?

I'm assuming these are pre-B models...

On the compact you can see the hole for the FPB.

That's what I thought too after I enlarged it but my eyes aren't what they used to be. Nice find though, MP2Guy.
Some of those list prices are noteworthy. I wonder who has a CZ 83 with gold tone appointments?

Even in 1994, mil-spec was a thing.
snakeye, no worries, I don't need someone in a leotard. :)

Mine is a plain Jane CZ 83 but someone out must have one.

I know this is an old thread but just pulled out my old CZ75 compact and was doing some research o 're-doing' the trigger. I have one of these pre-B models. It is 1993 manufacture and I purchased it while living in Germany. Serial number is: A70XX and the gun has no import marks on it since it was bought in while stationed overseas.  It was barely used but I think the previous owner may have tried to get a better trigger  and messed it up.
I was trying to find out what I needed to replace/tune to get this gun usable for carrying. Now that I see that is is 'rarer' than your typical Compact, maybe I should just keep it for a range gun or safe queen.
