Is some frame to slide play normal?
« on: October 30, 2015, 04:15:46 PM »
I read through a thread in the SP01 variants section on this issue. I was wondering how many compact owners, specifically alloy framed compacts, have some play between the slide and frame.
My P01 has some play. I can't tell exactly how much but if I had to guess I'd say about .010 of an inch side to side play. The slide will rattle in the frame if I shake the gun side to side.
That said, it shoots very accurately and is reliable so far.

All 7 of my CZ's have some play in the slide including my aluminum frame PCR. Grab the slide on any pistol and you will likely find some movement. Even the very best 1911's have to have some tolerance in the rails for smooth operation especially when alot of rounds are being fired and the gun starts to heat up.

If the tolerances are too tight, you run the risk of galling
Especially in your Stainless models
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what's coming after HIM !

I don't get rattle for my P-01, in fact it has very tight tolerances. Mind you this is coming from someone who also owns Glocks where there is an extreme amount of looseness. I can get my Glock19 to rattle every time, but it still shoots very accurate and I cannot complain. I don't have any give side to side in my P-01. Must have gotten a tight one.
