Was this 97BD a blued finish to start or a poly coat finish.
Is the frame surface condition on polycoated 97's generally more difficult to refinish with blueing of this quality?

I would agree on the rear sight and David/CGW does an excellent job of milling the slide for the LPA/TRT Kensight model so that they look perfect.  He has done two for me, one of which is my 97B-E.  The extra cost would have been minimal in comparison to the amount spent on the bluing job, which is excellent.
