Wanted to upgrade the PCR's sights
« on: January 01, 2016, 10:44:04 PM »
I've been looking around for PCR sights to replace and I ran across the XS Sight Systems, Inc.

On their website www.xssights.com, hey have 4 sections for CZ manufactured firearms:

> 75B & 85B
> 97B
> CZ Rami
> P01 & 83

Are there any chance the PCR have the identical set of sights as one of those 4 options?

Thank you, and cheers.

Have you seen the new sights for the PCR that are coming from CZ Custom?

I have seen those, they are nice. I am actually thinking about getting one of those back sights soon now since you brought that up. But we still have to run the PCR with stock front sight right? I know it doesn't matter that much when swapping the front post but still.

And personally, which one do you prefer as a back sight? The ones offered by XS or CZ Custom?

Never had or shot an XS sight before.

Like the looks of the CZ Custom rears.  I would say that there will be a front sight to go with it.

I sure hope so with the night sights.

With the CZ Custom's PCR Short Tac Rear Sight, they said on the product's description that it is to fit with a 5.5mm tall front sight.
So that raised my question again: If I was to purchase this sight, can I use it with the factory front sight? Is it 5.5mm tall?
If not, on CZ Custom's front sight options, I found the CZ Tritium Front Sight 5.5mm, and here's the description:

CZ 75 Front Sight with Trijicon? Lamp 5.5mm x 3.0mm

5.5mm Front Sight Height. (Measured from Base to top of sight when OUT of the gun)
Trijicon? Front Night Sight Fit all Factory Lateral (Front to back) dovetails.

Genuine Trijicon? Front sight  Green Lamp silver outline.

It doesn't say PCR in the description but it does specify "CZ 75", which is what the PCR is.

Idk it's confusing.

The CZ front height is standard 5.5mm.  The rear sights are the ones that can be different.  If you remove a CZ rear sight, it will have a number on the bottom that gets the correct aim/impact with the 5.5mm front.

That front sight will work on the PCR too even though it does not say.

We are really stoked CZC is going to make an improved PCR sight.  I am sure it will be a great addition.

So if I were to order a Tritium front sight for my PCR it would be item 10304? Would that work with the item 10339 (if they come out with a Tritium version)?
Very hopeful CZC releases a set of night sights for the PCR soon. ::)
