Dimple on the trigger guard?

I see this on various CZ handguns, any idea what it's for?

It's not for anything. It's just a mark left when the frame is cast in a mold.

It's the original location for the proof mark (N/lion) on the frames. Most are finely done within that small circle and with the complex style and polycoat, are difficult to make out with the naked eye. Here are examples from 1980 (no circle), 1991 and 2000.
