My Carrier on my D Tech is the tightest fitting of my three remaining guns. But it still can be rattled by shaking the charging handle. The play seems to be coming from the gap between the Carrier and the Locking Lugs on the Bolt. I have 'shimmed' this gap by applying tape to the top of the Locking Lug piece and all the play can be removed temporarily How can this "slop" be addressed as a permanent fix. It has to result from normal wear and tear but surely after many thousands of rounds.
What affect would this condition have on accuracy do you think? In the extreme the condition should increase head space I would think.
My kit guns are far far worse but I have set that head space during the assembly/barrel pressing process.
