Rami Safety Compatibility
« on: March 21, 2016, 08:53:18 PM »
Can I replace my SA safety with any other CZ? The one on the rami is really hard for me to reach without twisting the gun in my hand at an angle. I was considering dropping the hammer slowly so I could carry DA, but I'd rather not. Unfortunately there is no way I could carry this gun with the current manual safety. I've heard the 40B works, but I haven't been able to find one anywhere.

I found this at cajun but it doesn't specify any model

The only one that is compatible is the one off the 40B and as far as I know, nobody makes a better one than the stock one. I even thought of welding mine up to make a bigger pad, but havent gone that far yet. It is about the only shortcoming on the Rami, everything else is bleep near perfect.

They use a 75B safety but trim the grip a bit.

So that one would work if I cut my grips?...

I believe it needs to be one for the 75B in 9mm to be drop-in.  The SA, .40, and 85 all use an ambi safety.  He does mention the Shadow safety working if you trim down the right side to fit.

But i don't think the SA safety will fit the space in the RAMI without some trimming where the thumb would push up against.

I'll confirm when i get home if someone else doesn't jump in.
