I just bought an urban grey suppressor ready P09.  It isn't even shipped yet and I'm not even completely sure I won't like the urban grey, it may grow on me.   I keep thinking man it would be great in all black, and surely someone out there would like an urban grey frame.

http://www.damascusgunshop.com/CZ-P-09-Urban-Grey-Suppressor-Ready-p/91269.htm they have a great deal and free shipping.

I also wonder if there is any difference between the two styles of triggers aside from appearance, I liked the look of the squared off "old" style P09 trigger.

So why don't you just call them and change your order before it ships? Otherwise you're going to be paying through the nose to buy a gun you don't want, and then trading (and paying a second overnight shipping charge) to get the gun you actually want. It doesn't make any sense to me at all.

I agree just call and ask to change your order. Since you'd be trading the frame (which is the "firearm") you'd have to pay another transfer fee and have it shipped to your FFL.

Plus, plain black P09's are under $500....

I didn't like the squared looking trigger on my .40 S&W P09 (it bit me all the time) so I ordered an older DUTY rounded trigger and installed it.  It's not hard to change out the triggers if you want one of the squared looking ones.

Like mentioned above.  Change your order.  CZ was making the P09 in 9MM, all black, with the threaded barrel and suppressor sights.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

I get trigger bite too... where did you buy the old rounded trigger?

(I feel like this will help the OP also, why I'm not starting a different thread or PM'ing him, not thing to thread jack haha)

The black suppressor ready P09's don't have tall night sights, and don't have the 21 rd mags.  I do sort of like the urban grey, just think I would like black better.  Never been a big two tone guy, but I don't think it looks bad.  I just figured buying the black model, tall night sights (which you cannot buy) and mags would be more expensive.

Now that I know the old trigger bites, I am comfortable with the new trigger.  The old one did look cooler though.  I am well acquainted with working on these guns, did complete trigger jobs my SP01 (which is single action with a probably 2 lb break and put a set screw in the trigger) and stainless, for anyone who does not remember me, I did the "My brushed stainless CZ75" topic.  Who knows maybe CZ made a brushed version because of my thread?  I doubt it.

This will be my only polymer pistol, always liked steel framed pistols, you can put nice wood grips on them.  I had an XD 45, then a two tone XDM 45, which I immediately returned because the finish was trash and started rusting but mostly because I found a full size Jericho .45, which I then sold for a Sig 1911 Tacops Carry with a threaded barrel.

Ordered it from either CZ USA or CZ Custom, don't remember for sure.

CZ USA - http://shop.cz-usa.com/ProductDetail/0420011007_Trigger-P07-Duty

CZ Custom - http://czcustom.com/p07-trigger.html

On my P09 this trigger worked - I did have to scrap a little bit of plastic off the inside/bottom of the trigger guard to provide clearance for it to move fully rearwards and then back forwards.  Apparently the rounded/old style trigger is a bit longer.  I just used my pocket knife to slowly scrape (trying every little bit) till I got enough clearance - plus a little more - to be sure.

Well, I waited all week for Saturday to pick it up since my wife complains I will take off work to get a gun when it comes in yet make the excuse for valentines day and other holidays saying that I didn't have time to get anything.  I live far from town.

I wouldn't change a thing about it.  From some of the pictures I kept joking to myself they should call it the "suburban grey."    To my surprise in person the grey is much darker than the pictures made it look.  The trigger is so smooth in DA and so light in SA.  It is like it already has a trigger job.  I love the hand feel of the 75 and SP01 but this may be the coolest pistol of all time.  I'm not going to tweak on it at all like my others, well maybe a DPM recoil reduction spring.

Love the Novak style rear sights, are the sights meant to be reversible?  Obviously they are.  There are white dots on the front and rear.  Maybe it is for shooting backwards.  J/K that sounds like a Hickock 45 joke.  Stoked.  This is the 9mm equivalent to the FN 45 tactical only better and half the price.  The TT in my name are meant to look like a mathematical symbol for those wondering.

Congrats on the acquisition. My gun dealer gives me a hard time for getting excited/impatient about a new purchase. I've put a few on layaway only to go back a day or two later and pick it up. The P-09 and P-07 are the only poly guns I care for. Nice soft shooters and extremely accurate.
