EVO carbine on the way, what I need to know ?
« on: November 07, 2016, 03:27:23 PM »
My EVO carbine should be at the FFL in the next day or two. What do I need to know as far as inspection, what to look for and so on ? Anything other than  quick basic cleaning before firing ? -Thanks

Look forward to having alot of enjoyment!  Do a basic clean and lube and start shooting it.  There really isn't anything you have to look for beyond a basic new rifle function test.

2 things you never want to hear when you pull the trigger:

"click" when you expect it to go "bang" and

"bang" when you expect it to go "click"

One thing all new Scorpion owners need to know...

If the trigger has been pulled so the hammer is not cocked (dry fire practice or a dud round, etc), if you put the safety on, the bolt will NOT be allowed to be pulled back to either load or lock the bolt back. You MUST put the safety to fire to work the action (again, only if the hammer is NOT cocked).

Other than that - get more mags and ammo - enjoy a really fun gun!

Can't wait, I bought mags (30rds) awhile back for $15. Just took me a  little longer to commit to the gun  ::) They seem to have a good rep with very few if any lemons; plus CZ seems like a good company to deal with if things weren't right.
