Picked up a P-07, new here
« on: May 20, 2016, 06:11:11 AM »
Hey everyone, new to the site. New to CZ's in general. I grew up with 1911's, revolvers and my dad had an old CZ 75 that we used to shoot around.  That's as far as my experience I have with them.

So long story short was looking for a new pistol. Did a lot of research and finally came down to the P-07. I'm not a fan of striker fire and was used to SA and DA guns.

P-07 has everything I was looking for and at good price. It took me a bit to find one in the wild. A lot of places in my area had old stock Duty models or P-09's and I was looking for the newer model. Finally came across one but was coming in at $550 + tax but to my surprise and the dealers as it just came in, it came with a tac-light, also two mags, safety swap and back straps but no mag extensions  I didn't hesitate as they had only two in stock and was tired of searching.  ;D

I have to say this is by far on my top guns list. The light is pretty nice and super bright. Haven't took it out to the range but I can't wait to break it in.

If you're looking for the "mag extensions", check out CZ-USA's website store:

PLASTIC MAGAZINE +2 BASE PAD ($4.99 ea)
https://shop.cz-usa.com/ProductDetail/545900000078_Plastic-Magazine-2-Base-Pad

Note: The picture doesn't show the metal "L" piece, but it does come with it.

Congrats on your new gun..............

Get the thumb safeties on it and you can carry it cocked and locked, just like your 1911's.  That's what I've been doing for a couple, three years now.

Watch that light, the screws that clamp the light to the rail are very tiny in diameter and will break on you if you try to get them too tight.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Congrats! I just got my P-07 Monday. Mine came with the extensions but they didn't work out for me at the range. They pinched my pinky half of the time. I'm gonna get a light like yours asap. I'm loving my P-07 before and after 1 range trip.
