Red Dots on a compact 75/P-01
« on: June 02, 2016, 03:36:40 AM »
I'm curious if anyone has any compact CZs with their slides milled for red dots and what their thoughts are. I would not consider myself old (only 30!) but, even with my glasses on, I have an awful lot of trouble trying to focus on the front sight. I don't think carrying a gun with a red dot would be much of an issue, but I''d love to hear from anyone that has any experiences in particular red dots on the compact CZs. Thanks in advance!

I don't have a "red dot" on a CZ 75 Compact model but I do have one on my P07, which is considered to be a compact??  At least it's not a full sized gun, like the P09.

I carry that thing just about everywhere (meaning I don't carry it into the county courthouse or any government building (they are comfortable taking my tax dollars but not with me being able to defend myself, go figure).

Day in, day out.  Shopping, driving the car/truck, mowing the grass, walking the dogs, fishing, etc.  I carry it mostly in a concealment holster rig called an Air Marshall 3.  I sometimes carry it in an inside the waistband holster on my right side.  Depends on where I'm going, what I'm doing.

No issues.  Meaning the gun itself (the butt) is more likely to show the gun is there than the RMR mounted to the slide.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Awesome! Thanks for the info; it makes me feel way more comfortable about getting a red dot sight.
